Dark Future is a text-based crime game you play in your browser or through the mobile app. You run jobs, trade contraband, climb the ranks and team up with a crew. It's a non-commercial fan project and still in beta, so expect the occasional rough edge.
No. Dark Future is free to play. There are no adverts and nothing to buy.
Create an account with a username, email address and password, then pick a home city. The in-game manual explains crimes, stats, jail, crews and combat once you're signed in.
Use the forgot password page. We'll email you a link to choose a new one. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us.
First check that you're online and try again — the app talks to the same servers as the website, so if the site loads, the service is up. Signing out and back in clears most problems. If it persists, email us and mention your username, your device and what you saw.
Death ends that character, not your account. You keep your login and can start a fresh character from the death screen.
Email info@requr.nl from the address your account uses and ask us to delete it. We'll erase the account and everything attached to it. Ending your character in-game does not delete your account.
Possibly. While the game is in beta we occasionally wipe the world to rebalance it. We'll announce a wipe in the news before it happens.
